MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- Staff Sgt. Nickolas Alarcon, 36th Airlift Squadron, conducts a C-130 aircraft loadmaster at Yokota Air Base, Japan. A native of Exeter, New Hampshire, Sergeant Alarcon performs preflight aircraft checks, ensures all onboard equipment is functioning properly, supervises aircraft loading and unloading, to include cargo and passengers and calculates the weight and balance of cargo so the aircraft can safely fly.
