The Dring (a) is attached to the plaitedrawhide rope (d) by means of aleather strap (e). A piece ofleather (c) is applied to the raw-hide hobble. The strap (e) is doubled and stitched. It is 17 inches long and 2 inches wide, fas-i:<r<i^^^^iWMlM\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\llK^ tened at each end by three rivets into a metal clasp (c)(d). These metal clasps alsocarry two blank buckles (a)(c). It will be observed thatthese blank buckles are sosized that one will pass con-veniently through the other by turning it cornerwise, whichprevents them from,becoming unlooped and dropping off thepastern.
