Landscape image taken from the river Dart of the village of Kingswear. In the foreground is a small yacht with a red sail, behind it is the quay and marina with moored boats. The station at Kingswear is the end point for steam trains of the Dartmouth Steam Railway and beside this is the slipway for the Lower Ferry which transports vehicles across the River Dart to Dartmouth. This picturesque village was used as a location for the film version of ‘The French Lieutenant’s Woman’.
