Frog taxonomy. Herpetologist Jean Lescure using a pair of calipers to measure part of a tree frog. This frog is a new species in the genus Hyla. The measurements will be used in a description of the new species, and will help to distinguish it from other species. Other characteristics, such as the colour, appearance and habitat, will also be noted as part of the description. Photographed at the Natural History Museum of Paris, France.
