ZABUL PROVINCE, Afghanistan (Sept. 15, 2010) - Afghan Nation Army (ANA) Soldiers disembark an MI-17 helicopter in Qalat, Afghanistan. Additionally to delivering ballots and transporting election officials to locations that are too dangerous or remote for ground transport days prior to the elections, the Kandahar Air Wing is also transporting ANA Soldiers who will provide protection from insurgents seeking to interfere as Afghans exercise their democratic right to vote.
