The largest monthly Carnation yet produced, well-grown flowers, measur- ing 3% inches across. The color is clear glossy white, with delicate pencillings of bright scarlet running through the petals. The stems are large, averaging 24 to 30 inches, a strong, vigorous, healthy grower, flowering abundantly and sustaining its quality in hot weather. Deliciously fragrant. 15c., 5 for 50c. New Scarlet Carnation.—G. H. Crane. The best scarlet Carnation, won<?erfully productive. Tested four years, it stands pre-eminent. An early, continuous, all-season bloomer, averaging 3-inch blooms ; a well-formed flower and c^lyx, and 16 to 18 inch stems, stiff and erect throughout the whole season. Color, a clear, brilliant scarlet; of strong, robust, clean growth, making well formed, bushy plants. 15c., 5 for 50c. General Maceo. Very full, deeply fringed flower, 23^ to 2^ inches in diameter, on stiff stems 12 to 18 inches long under ordinary culture. Ground color deep brilliant scarlet, heavily overlaid with maroon, making it one of the darkest and richest shades yet seen in Carnations, as rich and striking as the Meteor R^ose. 15c., 5for50c.
