Army Sgt. 1st Class Nativo Rodriguez, recovery team sergeant for the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), along with a Laos villager sift through dirt on the wet-screen station during excavation operations in Sekong Province, Laos, Feb. 13, 2022. There are currently 289 missing service members from the Vietnam War believed to be located in Laos. DPAA’s mission is to achieve the fullest possible accounting for missing and unaccounted-for personnel to their families and our nation.
