Thus in 1903 Plot 17 received annnonium-salts hut nn minerals, and IMot 18 the minerals without the ammonium- salts, and the treatment was reversed in llM)ii and aj^ain in 1904. It will be seen from Table XV., or Irom the dia<,Mam Fig. 8, that the plot which in any year is receiving minerals without nitrogen derives little or no benefit from tiie anunoma /<^Ar^.
