They havebeen built at Glasgow by The NorthBritish Locomotive Co. (Atlas Works)and re-erected at Parel shops; they areknown as Hi type. The chief dimensionsare, cylinders 21x26 ins., drivers 4 ft. 7 The boiler Tias a total heating surfaceof 2,079 sq. ft. The working pressure is180 lbs. per sq. in. and grate area 32sq. ft. The equipment for the aut-omatic vacuum brake comprises oneof the new C type combination ejectors April. iQog. RAILWAY AND LOCOMOTIVE ENGINEERING 177. and two brake cylinders. Steam sandinggear is fitted. The boiler is covered withasbestos, as also is the inner roof of thecab.
