This new Corn is a decided improvement on that favorite old variety. Little Gam, Ne Plus Ultra, or Shoe Peg, as it is variously called, which has always been esteemed the sweetest Corn grown, its only fault being the small size of the ear. Country Gentleman claims to be but a large form of the popular parent, and its ears, though a third larger, and more shapelj' and regular in form than Shoe Peg's, are quite the same in sweetness and flavor. The plant, as the ear would indicate, is stronger in growth and more productive. This is destined to become a ven,- popular market and home garden variety.
