Editorial use only. "There shall be a Scottish Parliament" is the inscription on the statue erected in honour of Scotland's first minister the deceased Donald Dewar member of the Scottish Parliament. The statue was unveiled on 7 May 2002. Kenny Mackay was the scrulptor and the statue was cast by Powderhall Bronze. The setting in majestic at the top of Buchanan Street with the Glasgow Royal concert Hall in the background and the large Buchanan Galleries to the right.
