The Presidents AddressIn representing the presidents reportJ. J. Fee spoke of the two meetings re-presenting the Association that had been held during the year. One meeting washeld in Montreal, April 6, at which E of Brockville had represented him,where the question of export trade hadbeen discussed with R. M. a result of this meeting a deputationhad gone to New York to interview theAllied Purchasing Commission on E. J. SMITH The Whyte Packing Co., Brockville, Ont., elected president of the Canadian Produce Association at their Convention in Toronto. The other meeting had been held laterin the year in Toronto, to arrange thedetails of the convention. Mr. Fee, in continuing, outlined someof the objects achieved by the Asso-ciation, and some of the difficulties theyhad been compelled to meet. During the past year, he stated,the Produce Trade has had the centreof the stage in our industrial life andin addition the spot light of the CanadaFood Board had been shining brilliantlyupon it, checking up our profits, as the shepherd counts his sheep so that nonemay go astray. The spot light has beena Book of Revelation to some of us. Ithas revealed our weakness and ourstrength. As a war measure the CanadaFood Board in some respects has been agreat success.
