Inscriptions: Weaver mark on lower guard, right In interior setting, 2 women & 4 children before fireplace, 1 woman changes baby on lap (center, foreground), behind them couple spins wool (R of center, middle ground), group of men at dinner table, feasting (L, middle ground), bird, bird cage & sausage hang from ceiling (BRD) garland of flowers The mark at the right end of the lower, outer guard is not entirely clear. The first and last letters "G" - "P" could refer to the Brussels weaver Geraert [Gerard] Peemans, but the other letter (H?) and symbol do not usually occur with his mark (Cavallo). Cavallo's original date attribution was 1665-1700, thereby not conflicting with the dates of the artist as it stands now (Dimitrova). French & Co. stock sheet in archive, 52685
