Three-quarters front view of a Silver, 2003, Ferrari 575M Fiorano on display in the Coys Auction area of the 2019 London Classic Car Show

Introduced for 2002, the Ferrari 575M (Modificata) represented an evolution of the acclaimed 550 Maranello rather than an entirely new model. For the 575M, engine displacement grew to 5,748cc and maximum power to 515bhp, whilst transmitting it to the ground was a new six-speed ‘paddle shift’ manual gearbox, a technology that Ferrari had developed in Formula 1. Very few buyers got the opportunity to acquire the 575M ‘Fiorano handling pack edition’ of which just 392 were made. Included in the FHP was an uprated braking system along with new suspension and steering components, in addition to the handling pack the car was also treated to a limited edition interior pack which included the F1 style paddle shifters, dash plate, radio surround and door panels. Other very rare upgrades were also added including the four 19inch alloys it currently sits on, the small spare wheel and the special-order carbon seats. The result of the newly tried suspension, roll cage and other such upgrades produced a much stiffer ride adding to the already sharp handling of the 575. Amongst the very best of modern Ferraris the 575M ‘Fiorano edition’ represents a fantastic opportunity to own a front engine V12 GT car with the spirit of the much earlier Ferraris dating back to the 1960s and 70s. Originally delivered to Italy before being exported to Switzerland via Tom Hartley in the UK, this car is beautifully presented in Argento Nurburgring with contrasting black leather interior. This example benefits from the Fiorano Handling Package as well as carbon sports seats, 19 inch modular split alloys and leather upholstered roll bar and parcel shelf. A full service in October 2017 saw the cambelt and tensioners renewed and the car comes with an extensive service history and original manuals. A wonderful example that would be a credit to any discerning collector or enthusiast.
