I have in my possession a specimenof a recently united fracture from an elderly woman whodied of pneumonia soon after the bone had healed. Inthis specimen the union is bony, and not the slightestdegree of deformity can be detected. Treatment.—The fracture is reduced by direct pressurewhile the hand is in forced flexion, and by traction.
