Nichole Settlemires, 81st Surgical Operations Squadron preoperative nurse, Dr. Svyatoslav Guznor, 711th Human Performance Wing Airman systems directorate research psychologist, and Capt. Breanna Raney, 711th HPW Airman systems directorate program manager, Air Force Research Lab, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, Nov. 14, 2017, on Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi. Guznor and Raney visited Keesler to get a better understanding of robotic surgery in the Air Force by touring the InDorse Lab and observing surgeons, nurses, and techs to get basic training on the Da Vinci machine. They also interviewed surgical staff and system trainers on their interactions with the robot and the team dynamics, and collaborated with the lead robotic surgeon about future joint ventures and research collaborations.
