Earth from space, astronaut photo. Image taken by the STS-125 crew members onboard Space Shuttle Atlantis during its final servicing mission to the Hubble Space Telescope (HST). This high oblique scene is looking toward the Red Sea (blue, centre), Sinai Peninsula (centre right) and the Mediterranean Sea (blue, upper centre). Saudi Arabia is in the foreground and Egypt's Nile River and its delta can be seen (left) toward the horizon. Israel and Jordan can be seen near the top edge of the frame. The Gulf of Suez and the Gulf of Aqaba (near frame center) extend from the Red Sea toward the Mediterranean Sea. Photographed on 12th May 2009.
