A decommissioned helicopter donated by the Lebanese Air force seen winched into the water during the project. Decommissioned aircrafts are winched into the water off the town of Saida in Lebanon as part of a conservation project to create an artificial reef. The sea floor here is barren, so the idea is to provide fish and invertebrates with permanent structures to give them a place to breed and shelter in order to increase fish and marine life stocks for fishing and tourism.
