Porta Palazzo is part of the Aurora district of Turin and it's fulcrum is the octagonal Piazza della Repubblica which, with its 51300 m², is the largest square in the city and daily hosts the largest open-air market in Europe, dating back to 1835. The Antica Tettoia dell'Orologio was built in 1906 and represents a typical example of a metal structure of the time. It is currently dedicated only to the food trade, divided into 88 numbered points-of-sale.
