On account of the weight which is brought on thismember, only built up sections can be used; and on a,ccount of thesize of these sections, some difficulty is found in fasteningthe floor beam to the bridge truss. The floor beams are used throughout the length of thelength of the bridge and may be divided into two general typeson account of their position, namely: end-floor beams and inter-mediate floor-beams. -9 Much difficulty is found in fastening the end floor-beam, because of the inclination of the end post. showsa simple method of fastening the end floor-heam.
