Triceratops horridus dinosaur, artwork. This was one of the largest of the ceratopsians, and one of the last to evolve before the extinction of the dinosaurs. It roamed the wetlands of Late Cretaceous North America. It had a characteristic neck frill and horns. Other fauna seen here includes an ancient crocodile (lower right) and another marine reptile (far left).
