Sea water evaporating in pans leaves crystalline salt behind


Salt production from sea water. Sea water is run into shallow pans and allowed to evaporate leaving crystalline salt behind. The salt is then harvested, washed and bagged for industrial use. The reddish colour is from the proliferation of non-toxic algeas
