Zelenogradsk (formerly Cranz) is still one of the most popular seaside resort towns of the Baltic Sea in Russia

Modern Kaliningrad features much from old pre-war Koenigsberg, although heavily suffered from bombing of 1944, post-war "Soviet-style" faceless architecture and modern Russian design, being quite eclectic. The city historical center keeps intact or restored very few old structures and buildings with the Dome (restored from ruins in 1992-2000s) as the main sight and the Fish Village as fully new stylish quarter, being an impression of disappeared city. Western part of Kaliningrad occurred to be much preserved from war destructions and thus appears almost as it had been before 1944. Other districts feature mixture of architectural styles.
