Banker on the Jing Peng

Two ex-China Railway’s QJ Class fight their way past the distant signal for Shangdian on the Jing Peng pass section of the Ji-Tong Railway in Inner Mongolia. The train engine had failed, necessitating the pilot engine from the following train to be detached at Xiakengzi and used to assist the stricken train up to the summit at Shangdian. March 2004.
