Colonel Manuel Sanguily, born in Havana in 1849 shining as a speaker, historian and critic. Landed in the expedition of the Galvanio (1868) and spent 8 years in the war fields; in 1893 -94 published his famous 'Hojas Literarias'. He was President of the Senate, Secretary of State.
