After twoweeks of treatment without making any impression on the case, thechild becoming constantly worse, the Edebohls operation of decapsu-lation of the kidney was performed by Dr. William A. Downes, ofNew York City. The kidney secretion gradually increased, theurine showing but a trace of albumin two weeks after the
