A model 1791 sabre for enlisted men of the hussars, Curved blade à la Montmorency. Iron knuckle-bow hilt with flat guard, thumb ring and obverse guard bar. Leather-covered grip. Blade somewhat patinated. Point ground round. Hilt cleaned and pitted in places. Length 99 cm. Interesting edged weapon model as most of these pieces were officially altered in 1820. Cf.
