3 - 4 months dead - decaying carcase of a red deer knocked down and killed by a car on the Isle of Mull in Scotland. 7000 deer are killed in car accidents each year in Scotland (2013) resulting in 65 human injuries. SNH (Scottish Natural Heritage) and are working with Transport Scotland to reduce this number. The deer died in November 2012 and this photograph was taken in May 2013.
