Sanders, of Sanders' Nurseries, says he is afraid this will be a bad season for nurserymen, as the weather has been against them all season. No work could be done last week, owing to the bad weather. August Hummert, vice-president of the St. Louis Seed Co., says his firm was never as busy as it is this spring. A visit to the store found it packed with buyers and the big force busy. Grimm & Gorly are snugly settled in their new quarters at 706 Washington avenue, just two doors west of the old store. The new store is in keeping with the rest of the big retail establishments along Washington avenue. Attractive show windows and richly furnished in- terior make it an attraction along this busy thoroughfare. The Ladies' Home Circle met at the home of Mrs. J. J. Beneke, April 9, and enjoyed a pleasant afternoon. There were present besides the hostess: Mesdames Miller, Weber, Jr., Weber, Sr,. Meyer, Jr., Schray, Windier, O. Q. Koenig and J. L. Koenig.
