SAN DIEGO (April 17, 2017) Vice Adm. Nora Tyson, commander, 3rd Fleet, visits the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC). Cmdr. Sean Soutiere, department head for Warfighter Performance at the NHRC, led a tour of NHRC lab spaces . NHRC scientists conduct ongoing research to improve the operational readiness and health of military service members. Research topics include environmental physiology, infectious disease surveillance, sleep and fatigue mitigation studies, psychological health and resilience, and injury prevention and rehabilitation.
