Over two and a half mil-lion boxes were exported, with an averageloss of one dollar per box. The cause ofthis deplorable condition is an indiscrimin-ate distribution of letters of credit amongpeople who were absolutely resulted in the shipment of fruit of thecommonest quality and in enormous quan-tities.
