Philharmonic Dining Rooms in Hope Street, Liverpool.


The Philharmonic Dining Rooms, known locally as 'The Phil', was designed by Walter Aubrey Thomas for Robert Cain & Company and opened in 1898 with an Art Nouveau style exterior. A grade II listed building on the corner of Hope and Hardman Streets - diagonally opposite to the Philharmonic Concert Hall. Known locally as The Phil, it is situated opposite the Philharmonic Hall on Hope Street and is both a listed building and tourist attraction.
