Stardust-NExT approaching comet. Computer artwork of NASA's Stardust-NExT robotic space probe approaching comet Tempel 1 to collect dust samples. Stardust-NExT was an extended mission of NASA's Stardust space probe and intercepted Temple 1 in february 2011. Stardust was launched on 7th February 1999 with its primary mission to collect dust samples from the coma (tail) of comet Wild 2.
