The seeds require careful treat-ment, bottom heat, and a gardeners care to germinate well; but a young childcan raise a cutting, so easy is its culture. There are no plants which more fullyrepay the attention you may give them; and they are so graceful and attractivethat they strike even the dullest eye with admiration. The Fuchsia was named in honor of Leonard Fuchs, a German botanist ofrepute. The most desirable varieties besides those already named, are:. ^02 WINDOW GARDENING Single Fuchsias. Arabella, white sepals, with rich rose corolla ; the best early variety. Brilliant, purple globular-shaped corolla, scarlet sepals. Charming, large violet, saucer shaped corolla, with scarlet sepals. Conquest, bright scarlet sepals, corolla, rich dark purple ; very free bloomer. Conspicua, snowy white corolla, with bright-scarlet sepals ; very beautiful. Empress, long, white corolla, with rich crimson sepals ; extra fine. First of the Day, scarlet sepals, with well expanded lavender corolla. Father Ignatius, brilliant carmine sepals, with rich indigo blue corolla. Evening Star, blush sepals, with pinkish scarlet corolla. Lustre, vivid crimson coroUa, sepals waxy white; free bloomer.
