The company has doubled the length of its trains to help cope with the expected extra demand. The University authorities are planning to close their seafront halls of residence as a precautionary measure at this afternoon in advance of forecast high winds and stormy seas. The company has doubled the length of its trains to help cope with the expected extra demand. The University authorities are planning to close their seafront halls of residence as a precautionary measure at this afternoon in advance of forecast high winds and stormy seas. Of the 600 students living on the seafront, about 450 are in university-owned accommodation. They are being offered alternative accommodation on the university campus, or financial help to return home for the weekend.
