Footpath leading to the church at St Abbs in Berwickshire. St Abbs refers to a stretch of coastline including St Abbs Head which was site of a monastery founded by St Aebbe in 635 AD. The nearby fishing village of St Abbs dates from the 19th century and is located a mile south of the site of the old monastery. The coast here is composed of rugged cliffs and inlets and the coastal path between the village and St Abbs Head affords spectacular views
