Member T-T-D. most experienced and older florists get up some sort of folder, under the title of "Floral Hints," in it to be sugges- tions as to the uses and purposes of cut flowers and as to the proper care of plants. This could be made cheap enough so that each florist could afford to distribute hundreds among his dif- ferent customers. In this way people would be encouraged and educated in the use of flowers—for their own enjoy- ment as well as for special occasions. Only too often the effect of a beautiful bunch of roses is ruined because the proper vase or basket was not used, or a plant is spoiled because of insufiScient moisture or nourishment. There are many suggestions which would help better our trade, one of the oldest, best and most interesting, a trade working in harmony with nature, we might say.
