The Frauenthal Center for Performing Arts in the Downtown Muskegon Social District. The center contains the historic Frauenthal Theater and the Beardsley Theater, Clark-Cannon Gallery. The Center is a historical monument in Muskegon County, and is considered one of the best theaters in Michigan. It is home to Concerts, movies, and other events. The Downtown Muskegon Social District is a arts, entertainment and cultural venue that also provides common areas in the downtown in which alcoholic beverages from participating establishments can be carried and consumed. Downtown establishments in conjunction with the City of Muskegon have created this district to provide a year-round, festival atmosphere in that area of the city.
