Craftsman colours a wayang kulit puppet of King Kresna (Krishna) in the Balai Agung crafts shop in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. Traditional puppet shadow theatre known as wayang kulit is widespread on the islands of Java and Bali in Indonesia. Puppets for wayang kulit are made of buffalo leather. Production of one puppet takes approximately six days. Each character has its own features and can be easily identified by spectators.
