Doors Open Days give the public free access to hundreds of fascinating buildings across Scotland, many which are not normally open to the general public. The events take place throughout September. It is coordinated nationally by the Scottish Civic Trust and is part of European Heritage Days. It is organised to coincide with Scottish Archaeology Month, coordinated by Archaeology Scotland (formerly known as the Council for Scottish Archaeology). Both are supported by Historic Scotland.
