An architectural drawing of the portico of the Imperial Abbey of Lorsch (founded in 764) in the District of Bergstrasse, state of Hesse, Germany. It was one of the most famous monasteries of the Carolingian Empire and its remains are among the most important pre-Romanesque buildings in Germany.
