Hind wing with vein 2 from near angle of cell; 3, 4 from angle ; 5 from above angle ; 6 from upper angle ; 7 from well before angle and strongly curved upwards ; the costa highly arched and male with fringe of long hair from middle of costa above. In key differs from Em-pyretima in the fore wing having vein 10 stalked with 7, 8, 9 ; hind wing with vein 3 from the cell. *8S9 a. mathani. Ceramidia mathani, Roths. Nov. Head, thorax, and base of abdomen black-brown with some metallic green scales; neck crimson at sides; frons white ; palpi white in front; coxae white ; the rest of abdomen black-brown with a golden cupreous gloss, lateral metallic green bars, and the ventral surface white except at extremity.
