WESTMANN ISLANDS, ICELAND, JULY 1993: Puffin Hunting: 3 hunters in waterproofs stand on a cliff edge in the rain to check the wind direction. If the wind is blowing towards the cliffs the hunting will be good but if the wind is in the wrong direction the hunters will go home empty-handed. Puffins have been a traditional source of food for icelanders for generations. There are 6 million puffins in Iceland. During the short hunting season the puffins are caught on the island cliffs with a special net called a Hafwar.
