Flags were placed on the grave of Leland D. Crawford, the ninth sergeant major of the Marine Corps, during a wreath laying ceremony, Nov. 10. A wreath was later placed to honor Crawford and celebrate the Marine Corps’ 241st birthday, which is Nov. 10, 1775.
