Order of the German Eagle, a Grand Cross with Swords Gilt silver and enamel, the swords are pinned at the centre (somewhat loosened). The ring is stamped "900" and "L/50". Obverse enamel chip, dimensions 60 x 60 mm (OEK 3465). "L/50" is the manufacturer's mark for Karl Gschiermeister in Vienna. Karl Gschiermeister would have made only a very few examples of the German Eagle Order, almost all known pieces come from the workshops of the Godet Brothers in Berlin.
