Blackpool, Lancashire, UK. 17th July, 2019. Women in white Wednesday anti-shale gas protests resume at the fracking site in Little Plumpton. Energy firm Cuadrilla has announced fracking is due to resume at its site. Fracking began at the Preston New Road site in October but operations were halted on as underground tremors were detected. No fracking has taken place on site since December but Cuadrilla has applied to the Environment Agency to use nitrogen lifting to aid the fracking process at Preston new Road The drill site has been the subject of repeated protests.
