A miniature wheellock pistol, German, presumably 19th century. Octagonal barrel merging to round after a baluster with decorative engraving. Richly engraved floral ornamentation on the lock. Open work, brass wheel mounting. Spring loaded pan cover. Walnut stock with inlaid decoration. The bone side plate is richly engraved with a soaring eagle and recumbent hound surrounded by leafy decoration. Iron trigger guard. Lock function not tested. Length 100 mm.
