Indonesian Muslims prepare goat curry for breaking their fast during the Holy Month of Ramadan or known as "Takjil" at the Great Mosque of Kauman. The distribution of takjil goat curry since the time of Sri Sultan HB VIII was formerly a form of food alms for the poor and this tradition continues to be preserved as breaking fast every Thursday in the month of Ramadan at the Gede Kauman Mosque.
