Churchill caricature at Wray, Lancashire, UK 25th April, Churchillian effigy figure at Wray's Annual Scarecrow Festival. The villagers are back again having created some weird, wacky and wonderful Churchill scarecrow creations to surprise visitors. Annually Wray village hosts a display of scarecrows to fit in with a subject on the school curriculum, with creations popping up on village gardens, peeking out of windows and perching on balconies. The quirky Scarecrow Festival, established 1995, takes place during the week leading up to May Day .
