The varieties affect- ed in Connecticut v/erc Duarte and Santa Rosa. In Georgia thd Japanese varie- ties v/erc said to be cost severely attacked. A larger number of state reports of plum pockets wore received this year than usual. This does not necessarily indicate an increased prevalence of tlic disease, hov/cvcr, but may be diAc to the fact that collaborators were furnished labeled questionnaires concerning this disease. The following states reported the disease in I92I: New Hampshire, North Carolina, , Indiana; Illinois, I/dchigan, V'isconsin, 'linnusota, lo'.va, IJorth Da.:ota, and Kanras. In cases it was said to be present in about the sare amounts as, or less than, the average, but in Illinois, Anderson reports leaf curl and deformed twigs caused by Exoascus as considerably worse than usual, and of importance locally.
